Guitars Stems

AudioPod separates guitars from any song on every plan (every guitar together on Basic, the rest on Creator and above): upload the track to the Stem Splitter and pick every guitar together, acoustic guitar, electric guitar or lead vs rhythm guitar — AudioStems, AudioPod's stem-separation engine, returns each as its own file, at 1,320 credits per minute for the Creator+ isolators.

  2. 02

Switch to Isolate (or Remove) and pick the guitars rows you need.

  3. 03

Choosing between guitars options

  • Start with the standard Guitar stem: it is on every plan, including Basic, and is enough when one kind of guitar plays.
  • Use Acoustic or Electric when both kinds share a song and you want only one. Acoustic and electric guitars strumming the same chords in the same register are the hardest case.
  • Use Lead and Rhythm when two guitars play different roles. Lead and rhythm are one price for one or both; two guitars playing the same riff in unison have no lead-versus-rhythm difference to split.
  • Heavily distorted guitars share frequencies with bass and keys, so a little bleed from them is possible.

Good uses

  • A guitarless backing track for jamming or a cover video.
  • Transcribing a solo without the chords masking it.
  • Rebalancing a two-guitar band mix in a remix.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Can I separate the lead guitar from the rhythm guitar?

Yes, on Creator and above. Pick Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar or both — one price either way. It splits by role, so guitars doubling the same riff stay together.

Can I turn a guitar stem into MIDI?

The standard Guitar stem can go to MIDI as an experimental option in Audio to MIDI; the acoustic, electric, lead and rhythm isolators return audio only. See /audio-to-midi/guitar.

How much does it cost to isolate guitars?

Each row in the table is one price group, charged per minute of source audio: Guitar 660, Acoustic guitar 1,320, Electric guitar 1,320, Lead guitar / Rhythm guitar 1,320 credits per minute. Picking several groups in one job adds their prices. A 4-minute song through one 1,320-credit isolator is 5,280 credits — about $0.70 pay-as-you-go — and Creator's monthly credits cover about 37 songs that long.

Which guitars are on the free plan?

Guitar, as part of the standard split (vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and other) that Basic runs from its monthly credits. Acoustic guitar, Electric guitar and Lead guitar / Rhythm guitar belong to the 45-instrument menu that Creator and above unlock. See pricing for plan prices.

Can I remove one of these and keep the rest of the song?

Yes for Guitar, Acoustic guitar, Electric guitar and Lead guitar / Rhythm guitar: switch the Stem Splitter to Remove mode and pick it. Removing costs the same and needs the same plan as isolating.
