AUDIOPOD, INC. PRIVACY POLICY

AudioPod, Inc. (the "Company") is committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for its users. Our Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") is designed to help you understand how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our Service.

For purposes of this Agreement, "Site" refers to the Company's website, which can be accessed at https://audiopod.ai or through our mobile application.

"Service" refers to the Company's services accessed via the Site, in which users can convert text to audio, create AI voices, utilize voice cloning technology, and access related audio processing tools and features.

The terms "we," "us," and "our" refer to the Company.

"You" refers to you, as a user of our Site or our Service.

By accessing our Site or our Service, you accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (found here: Terms of Use), and you consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

GDPR and International Privacy Rights

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:

  • Right to be informed about our data collection practices
  • Right to access your personal data
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate personal data
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to restrict processing
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object to processing
  • Rights related to automated decision making and profiling

I. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect "Non-Personal Information" and "Personal Information." Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and number of clicks.

Personal Information includes your email address, name, payment information, voice data, uploaded content, address, date of birth, contact information, and other information which you submit to us through the registration process at the Site.

1. Information collected via Technology

To activate the Service you do not need to submit any Personal Information other than your email address. To use the Service thereafter, you do not need to submit further Personal Information. However, in an effort to improve the quality of the Service, we track information provided to us by your browser or by our software application when you view or use the Service, such as the website you came from (known as the "referring URL"), the type of browser you use, the device from which you connected to the Service, the time and date of access, and other information that does not personally identify you. We track this information using cookies, or small text files which include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to a user's browser from our servers and are stored on the user's computer hard drive. Sending a cookie to a user's browser enables us to collect Non-Personal Information about that user and keep a record of the user's preferences when utilizing our services, both on an individual and aggregate basis.

For example, the Company may use cookies to collect the following information:

  • Session duration and usage patterns
  • Device information and settings
  • Language preferences
  • Feature usage and interaction data
  • Performance and error data
  • Audio processing preferences

The Company may use both persistent and session cookies; persistent cookies remain on your computer after you close your session and until you delete them, while session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your Internet browser help file directions. If you choose to disable cookies, some areas of the Service may not work properly.

2. Information you provide us by registering for an account

In addition to the information provided automatically by your browser when you visit the Site, to become a subscriber to the Service you will need to create a personal profile. You can create a profile by registering with the Service and entering your email address, and creating a user name and a password. By registering, you are authorizing us to collect, store and use your email address in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

3. Children's Privacy

AudioPod's mobile app is designed for parents and adults to create audio content; children may be the listeners of that content but they are not direct users of the service. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

When a parent enters a child's first name in the story-generation form (for example, to make the child the hero of a bedtime story), that first name is processed only to generate the requested story and is included in the story's audio output. We do not store the child's name as a standalone field and we do not build a profile of the child.

Our default "Kid-safe mode" applies a content moderation filter to every generation request, blocking adult, violent, or scary content even when a parent doesn't explicitly turn the filter on. Parents can disable Kid-safe mode in Profile → Settings → Content safety.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 directly (for example, a child who created an account by misrepresenting their age), we will delete that information promptly. Parents who become aware that their child has provided us with personal information without their consent should contact us at [email protected] and we will delete the data.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your Personal Information for as long as necessary to provide our Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. When we no longer need to use your Personal Information, we will remove it from our systems and records and/or take steps to anonymize it so that you can no longer be identified from it.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data by:

  • Using the account deletion option in your account settings
  • Contacting our support team at [email protected]
  • Submitting a formal deletion request through our privacy portal

Account Deletion (Apple Guideline 5.1.1(v) Compliance)

You can delete your account directly from the mobile app at any time:

  • iOS / Android: Profile → Delete account → typeDELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm
  • Web: Dashboard → Account → Delete account
  • Or by emailing [email protected] from the email on your account

Account deletion is processed with a 7-day grace window:

  • Day 0: You confirm deletion. Your account is immediately disabled — you cannot sign in.
  • During the grace window: If you change your mind, sign in via our "cancel deletion" link in the deletion confirmation email and your account is restored exactly as it was.
  • Day 7: A background job permanently deletes your profile, voice models, voice recordings, generated audio files, listening history, push tokens, and all support tickets, and your subscription is cancelled. We retain payment records (for tax / audit purposes) and aggregated, de-identified usage statistics for up to 7 years.
  • Abuse prevention: to stop repeat free-tier sign-ups, we keep a one-way, irreversible token derived from your email address and device — never your actual email — for up to 24 months. It cannot be read back to identify you and is used only to prevent fraud and abuse, then automatically deleted.

II. HOW WE USE AND SHARE INFORMATION

Personal Information:

Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share for marketing purposes your Personal Information with third parties without your consent. We do share Personal Information with vendors who are performing services for the Company, such as the servers for our email communications who are provided access to user's email address for purposes of sending emails from us. Those vendors use your Personal Information only at our direction and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Non-Personal Information

In general, we use Non-Personal Information to help us improve the Service and customize the user experience. We also aggregate Non-Personal Information in order to track trends and analyze use patterns on the Site. This Privacy Policy does not limit in any way our use or disclosure of Non-Personal Information and we reserve the right to use and disclose such Non-Personal Information to our partners, advertisers and other third parties at our discretion.

In the event we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge and consent that such transfers may occur and are permitted by this Privacy Policy, and that any acquirer of our assets may continue to process your Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. If our information practices change at any time in the future, we will post the policy changes to the Site so that you may opt out of the new information practices. We suggest that you check the Site periodically if you are concerned about how your information is used.

III. HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION

We implement security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access. Your account is protected by your account password and we urge you to take steps to keep your personal information safe by not disclosing your password and by logging out of your account after each use. We further protect your information from potential security breaches by implementing certain technological security measures including encryption, firewalls and secure socket layer technology. However, these measures do not guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of such firewalls and secure server software.

Specific Data Processing Activities

Voice Data Processing

When you use our voice cloning or text-to-speech services:

  • Voice data is processed using AI models and stored securely
  • Original voice recordings are retained only as long as necessary
  • Generated voice content remains your intellectual property
  • You can request deletion of voice data at any time

Analytics and Tracking

We use analytics tools to understand service usage:

  • Google Analytics with IP anonymization
  • Internal usage metrics and performance monitoring
  • Error tracking and debugging tools

Voice Cloning and Voice Models

When you use our voice cloning feature, you record a short voice sample (typically 30–60 seconds) that we use to train a voice model unique to you. We process voice data as follows:

  • Storage: Voice models and recordings are stored encrypted at rest in our private cloud storage (server-side encryption with AES-256). Transit is HTTPS-only.
  • Use: Voice models are used only to generate audio you initiate. We do not use your voice model to generate audio for other users, and we do not use your voice recordings or model to train any shared or third-party AI model.
  • Provenance verification: Before we train a voice model, we run a one-time provenance check on the recording (transcription + liveness signals) to confirm the voice is being recorded in real time and matches a randomly-generated passphrase we display on screen. This is to prevent impersonation. The provenance audit row is retained for security review only.
  • Family sharing: If you grant a family member access to your voice via our Family Voice feature, the grantee can generate audio with your voice on their own device. You can revoke this grant at any time from Profile → Voices → Family Sharing.
  • Deletion: You can delete a specific voice model at any time from Profile → Voices. When you delete your account, all voice models you've created are deleted within 7 days as part of the standard account-deletion process described in this policy.
  • No ML training opt-out (because there is no opt-in): We do not train any of our shared models on user voice data. There is therefore no opt-out needed — your voice data is never part of a model that other users can access.

Mobile Purchases, Subscriptions, and Credit Packs

Purchases initiated from our mobile apps are completed through our secure web checkout, processed by Stripe and opened in your device's browser. We do not receive or store your credit card or bank details — Stripe processes payment on our behalf; we receive a record confirming the purchase and the product purchased.

Subscription auto-renewal. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you chose) unless cancelled before the renewal date. Your payment method will be charged at the start of each new billing period.

Managing your subscription. You can manage, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from Dashboard → Account → Subscription on the web (the same account works across mobile and web).

Refunds. Refunds can be requested by contacting [email protected] within 7 days of purchase.

Cross-platform access. Subscriptions grant access on web and mobile when signed in with the same account. Credits purchased on either surface are added to a single shared balance.

We use subscription records (product identifier, purchase date, renewal date, subscription status) to provision your subscription, deliver credits, and respond to renewal, cancellation, and refund events.

Push Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications to your device for two purposes:

  • Job-status notifications: "Your story is ready" when a generation completes.
  • Bedtime reminders (opt-in): A daily nudge at the local time you choose (defaults to 6:00 PM if enabled). This is a local notification scheduled by the app — it does not send any data over the network.

You can disable notifications at any time by toggling the relevant switch in Profile → Settings → Notifications, or by revoking the OS-level permission in your device's system settings.

We register an opaque push token with our servers when you grant permission. This token is used only to deliver notifications and is deleted when you log out or delete your account.

Product Analytics and Diagnostics

We use product analytics tools to understand how you use the app and to improve it. Specifically:

  • Event analytics: We track which screens you view, which moments you generate (without recording the prompt text), purchase events, and feature flag exposures. These events are tied to your user ID so we can build per-user funnels but are not sold or shared with third parties for advertising.
  • Crash diagnostics: If the app crashes, we capture an anonymized stack trace and device info (model, OS version) so we can fix the bug. Crash reports are not linked to your account.
  • No cross-app tracking: We do not use the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or the Google Advertising ID. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

On iOS, our app declines to request App Tracking Transparency authorization because we do not track. You will not see an ATT prompt when you install AudioPod.

IV. YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING THE USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You have the right at any time to prevent us from contacting you for marketing purposes. When we send a promotional communication to a user, the user can opt out of further promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each promotional e-mail. You can also indicate that you do not wish to receive marketing communications from us in the Settings section of the Site. Please note that notwithstanding the promotional preferences you indicate by either unsubscribing or opting out in the Settings section of the Site, we may continue to send you administrative emails including, for example, periodic updates to our Privacy Policy.

V. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

As part of the Service, we may provide links to or compatibility with other websites or applications. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through the Site and the Service. Therefore, this Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of a third party website accessed by selecting a link on our Site or via our Service. To the extent that you access or use the Service through or on another website or application, then the privacy policy of that other website or application will apply to your access or use of that site or application. We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of other websites before proceeding to use them.
