The modes, briefly

Every lesson below assumes you know which mode you are in. This is the whole list — the third lesson explains why some controls appear in one and not another.

Quick: Describe the song in plain English and let the studio decide the rest — tempo, key, structure, even the lyrics. The fastest way to hear something.
Song: Full control. Your own style description and lyrics, with an optional reference track to steer the production.
Rap: Rap and hip-hop, where the flow and the beat matter more than the melody.
Instrumental: No vocals at all. Beds, scores and backing tracks.
Vocals: An isolated vocal performance from your lyrics, with no instrumental behind it.
Samples: Short loops, one-shots and texture beds for producers to build on.
Remix: Work on audio you already have — restyle the whole thing, or fix one section.
