Creator plan and above

Brass Stems

AudioPod separates brass instruments from any song on the Creator plan and above: upload the track to the Stem Splitter and pick trumpet, trombone, French horn, tuba or the whole brass section — AudioStems, AudioPod's stem-separation engine, returns each as its own file, at 1,320 credits per minute for the Creator+ isolators.

How it works

Step by step

  1. 01

Open the Stem Splitter and upload a song or paste a link.

  2. 02

Switch to Isolate (or Remove) and pick the brass rows you need.

  3. 03

Check the credit quote — it is shown before anything runs.

  4. 04

Download each part. Download as MP3, WAV or FLAC, with 16- or 24-bit for WAV and FLAC, on every plan — the format changes the files, not the price.

Choosing between brass options

  • Saxophones are reeds, not brass: a horn section's saxes go with the Woodwinds page or the saxophone extractor, not Brass (ensemble).
  • In a horn section the trumpet, saxophone and trombone often move in the same rhythm; where parts are doubled, some of the section can remain in a single-instrument stem. Brass (ensemble) avoids the question by taking the section whole.
  • Tuba and double bass are often written in unison in orchestral music; if the part you want is the string bass, use the double-bass isolator on the Strings page.
  • For the huge low trailer blasts rather than a real horn line, use Braam / cinematic hits on the Percussion and FX page.

Good uses

  • Lifting brass stabs for a sample pack.
  • A trumpet- or trombone-minus practice track.
  • Hearing a big-band or orchestral brass arrangement on its own.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Can I split a horn section into trumpet and trombone?

Yes: pick Trumpet and Trombone in the same job. Each is its own price group, so the two prices add together. Brass (ensemble) is one price for the whole section as a single file.

Is the saxophone part of the brass section here?

No. The saxophone is a reed instrument with its own isolator — see the saxophone extractor and the Woodwinds page.

How much does it cost to isolate brass instruments?

Each row in the table is one price group, charged per minute of source audio: every row is 1,320 credits per minute. Picking several groups in one job adds their prices. A 4-minute song through one 1,320-credit isolator is 5,280 credits — about $0.70 pay-as-you-go — and Creator's monthly credits cover about 37 songs that long.

Which brass instruments are on the free plan?

None of these isolators: Basic includes the standard split (vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and other). The brass isolators belong to the 45-instrument menu that Creator and above unlock; every public plan meters stems from credits. See pricing for plan prices.

Can I remove one of these and keep the rest of the song?

Yes for Trumpet, Trombone, French horn, Tuba and Brass (ensemble): switch the Stem Splitter to Remove mode and pick it. Removing costs the same and needs the same plan as isolating.
