What does converting a stem cost?

300 credits per minute of the stem you convert, on top of the split. The estimate appears before you confirm.

Why split first instead of converting the whole song?

A transcription can only be as clear as the audio it hears. A bass stem on its own has one note at a time and nothing on top of it; the same bass inside a full mix is buried under kick, guitar and vocal.

Can I convert the drums?

Stems give you the sound of a part. MIDI gives you its notes — something you can re-voice with a different instrument, quantise, transpose or print as notation. The shortest route from a finished song to a usable MIDI file goes through a stem.

Piano: Chords and melody.
Guitar (experimental): Dense or heavily-strummed guitar is hit-or-miss.

Careful

MIDI is a starting point — expect to tidy timing and note lengths. Drums aren't transcribed yet. Dynamics are approximate. Works best on clean recordings. Treat the result as a head start on a transcription, not a finished score.
